Additional Interventions & Skills

Compassion-focused therapy (CFT) aims to help you develop a balance between your threat, drive, and soothing systems so that you can break out of the cycles of shame, self-criticism, and self-doubt. In CFT, self-compassion is a form of motivation cultivated to alleviate internal distress, create intentional connections with self and others, and take action toward meaningful behaviors. Overall, CFT utilizes compassion to empower you to navigate your internal and external experiences.

In addition to CFT, I also incorporate interventions and skills from other approaches to meet your needs and wants.

For couples and family therapy, I utilize the Gottman Method as my primary approach, while incorporating interventions and skills from Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT).
